I bought a PSP-2000 on eBay for $ 80, but remark on the Sony used. Anyone ever buy a display model?
The seller was a warehouse with 99% positive feedback, no one (one person). I've not even received yet, but with little remorse for the buyer to purchase a format and now realize that probably means you are overused. Classifieds for example, 100% functional.
Probably intensive. It should work, but the buttons may be a little loose.

Older computers really have no value since the technology advances so rapidly. You have a dinosoar. My dell is two and one half years old and for the same money I can get three times the computer. Like the first guy said, donate it, it would cost a fortune to try and bring it up to today's standards.
besides JVC, Sony and Panasonic, you should also consider Canon. that group of 4 make the best camcorder models. The digital media used varies. some use miniDVD, but that is relatively poor quality. a step up would be SD memory cards. cheap but slow. HDD offers high datarates for good quality. the best consumer media is miniDV and HDV tape. you might want to look at the Canon ZR960 miniDV, it is economical yet performs top quality. if you have really deep pockets, there are some professional memory card recorders like P2 and XDcam. These perform like MII and BetacamSP in the analog era and have prices to match.
