Darwin Theory of Diesel Performance!
If Darwin himself were alive today, I dare say it could drive a diesel. No other engine is perfectly illustrated his theory of evolution than diesel. Now, as sure as possible that diesel were once known as the "slow and smelly" vehicles manufacturers of road vehicles and several companies have developed the performance to establish a mission to end that reputation. With the addition of one or more turbos (ie '08 Powerstroke) and intercooler (s) and water intakes, chips and modules and exhaust systems of reputation once held diesel is changing Darwin would be proud.
Well, why diesel performance? In the past, was never really an issue on which the 'species' has been more dominant when it came to performance. It was not until recently that still need to be a debate as to be better, the performance of gas and diesel performance and even today, people try to argue that the performance of the gas is where it is, but I am here to say that not only is more power available for the money when is high-performance products for diesel engines, but you will have engine longevity and maintenance, if not higher fuel consumption.
One of the strengths in the diesel performance argument is the fact that you can add mods for a diesel engine and will not damage the engine or make it burn hotter since damaging the engine permanently. No no mistake, you can still fry your engine, but diesel engines are built much stronger and more durable. One reason important for diesel engines is as durable and will last longer in general is the way in which combustion occurs on the engine. Diesel engines "fire" or "burn" different than gas engines because the type of fuel used. In gasoline engines a spark plug is used to burn fuel but in a diesel combustion is mainly due to the compressed air temperature causes the fuel to ignite. Because that diesel engines are built more durable because they have a high compression ratio (20:1 for conventional diesel vs. 8:1 for a conventional petrol engine) is built to withstand higher compression making these engines more prepared for the changes in performance directly from the factory.
As the diesel engine has evolved over the years have been added turbochargers to increase power and efficiency, which has been replaced a huge increase in the two populations of horsepower and the addition of market accessories. One of the main reasons diesel performance is even more viable is the fact that because the engine is built to a higher compression ratio anyway going to be able to resist the momentum created by a turbo much better than a gasoline engine, allowing the incorporation of changes in performance without shortening motor life as is the case of gasoline engines in the performance mods are added.
Like it or not diesel performance is here to stay, and if you believe in evolution is happening and will continue to occur in the diesel performance market. Do not be surprised when you see the good old Darwin is rolling past you in the twisted street in their diesel.
