How do you mount a trophy with the head not neutered?
I want to ride with the layer (at least). But I'm not sure of the cut as head, or how to protect the eyes, or anything. I basically have no idea what I do. Help?
Wanting to save the skin just behind the shoulders before. Cut back of the front legs that the skin over the shoulders intact. Cut the legs stationary front knee. The skin of the neck to the back of the head. Cut shutting down the neck and not try to hide your head if you do not know. Your taxidermist will be grateful. When you take it, should in principle have the skin of the shoulders forward not cut it. It will make the necessary cuts and the head layer. If you go to the Cape of you, it can be difficult to get the tear ducts, eyelids, and gums. All that must be preserved to make a good shoulder mount. If you want to learn to Cape a Deer, ask your taxidermist if you can see a couple do. Then practice some younger males. With a little practice, you can get the hang of it. We do not recommend that you try to mount the head yourself, at least not if you do not know. You do not know how to tan the skin, and use a good horse. The eyes on a shoulder mount not seem real, are replicas only. European mounts are fairly simple to do yourself. The skin of the head (Here's a good opportunity to practice riding out a deer), and boil in water with a little soap to wash. Wipe all meat from the bones, including the eyes, brain, and the roof of his mouth. The nose can be a little hard to clean, but it will come. Remove the lower jaw. They are very well, and can be easy for the beginner to do.
