will my friend loose her custody battle if she joins the military her ex is already enlisted ?
Getting a divorce and it’s gonna be a nasty custody battle she wants join the military will she loose her daughter if they are both in the service?
Probably. Depending on the branch and job she is going for. There are numerous ones that can’t be deployed but she needs to think about that. If they both go through boot camp and get deployed, who will watch the child? Who makes sure the child goes to school and gets food every day? If she has a plan for that it is not necessary a problem. For example, if the grandparents are close and agree to be guardians. If proper paperwork is filled out and etc, it could go in her favor. The courts never want the child to be taken from both parents.
However if HE has that close network and she doesn’t, or he stays at the close base and she gets sent off far from her family, it would go in his favor. It could really hurt her chances.
