Benny Benassi (born Marco Benassi July 13, 1967 [1]) is a Grammy Award-winning Italian DJ and producer of electro-house. He is best known for his 2002 summer club hit "Satisfaction." Benny Benassi ranks as the tenth most popular DJ in the world according the website the list of DJ, [2]. On October 28, 2009, DJ Magazine has announced the results of its annual survey of 100 DJs, with the stamp artist Benny Benassi Ultra placed # 26, 13 points the previous year [3].
Born in Reggio Emilia, DJ / producer Benassi started DJing alongside cousin Alle Benassi in the late 1980s in his hometown before moving Larry Pignagnoli to study outside the boundaries of production in the mid-1990s, creating music for various events, including Whigfield, JK and Ally & Jo. Benassi first on the dance floor with their own projects in 2001 with the single "I Feel So Fine", released under the name of MMC Dhany voice, the first track stormed the charts in Benassi native Italy, and quickly became a number one hit in the UK [1].
After MyHouse move from electro, "Satisfaction" worldwide Benassi succeeded a year later with renowned DJs such as Carl Cox Darren Emerson and Roger Sanchez singing praise. It reached number two on the UK Singles Chart after the Ministry of Sound record company replaced the original video (usually a table tape deck with graphics) with a video of models using power tools. Launched in 2003, the camp and quirky Hypnotica was Benassi's solo. End 2004, won the European Border Breakers Award for Hypnotica, which has accumulated the most sales for an Italian album outside of Italy. Benassi works often with Paul French and Violeta singers, known as Biz.
Benassi was then a group with cousin Alle Benassi Bros. called, a project designed to shine focus on the two Biz vocalists, Paul French and Violeta and other guest singers. A year after the release of Hypnotica, marked Pumphonia his first pitch of long duration. And then, in 2005, Benassi Bros. released their second album … Phobia.
Some of his singles have charted high in the UK and have been performed worldwide in clubs. Remixes for OutKast, Goldfrapp, and Felix da Housecat followed. Benassi also remixes the music of his contemporaries, as Tomcraft and Fischerspooner.
In 2005, Benassi based label known as Pump-Kin Music. The aim of the label's first new and unsigned producers. For the company that hopes to give exposure to some of the lesser-known talents DJ / production across the world.
In August 2007, Benassi released a remix Public Enemy "Bring the Noise." The video for the song has been created by Eclectic Method With a montage of live footage of Public Enemy, the video was premiered on imeem.com. In February 2008 "Bring the Noise" has won a Grammy for Best Remix (Dance).
