it's completely normal for you to feel this way about your brother ; my sis and i are the exact same way , except she isn't half as bad as your bro and she actually gets things done , now that i think about it … x_x;
but really , dont worry about your bro . while he is sleeping around , doing nothing all day and getting nowhere in life , you are excelling at school , coming out on top in sports , and developing the self discipline which will greatly benefit you later on in life . have you ever considered that he might even be jealous of you ?
also , i suggest you carefully hide your phone and any of your other valuables which he's fond of taking … that's seriously uncool .
but at the same time , there is definitely something wrong with your parents' behaviour towards him … your dad needs to support your mom , and they need to understand that THEY control him because THEY are the adults – it's not the other way around . unfortunately , they've spoiled him – they've let him have his own way so many times that he's become permanently selfish , hence his attitude towards his classmates and your family .
i dont know how your parents or you can fix him , since i'm not a psychologist , but i suggest that all four of you go to some kind of family counsellor ? undeniably , the best thing for you to do for yourself would be to just completely ignore him , but you also have to take note – that won't help him in the long run at all , will it ?
