Fear of thinking, right? It has been known to happen to all writers. I'm not talking about writer's block, nothing more serious than Stephen King's character, Mike Noonan, a bag of bones, where it becomes the computer and launches the screen (OK may be a computer, years since I read this book, but I'm sure that read information from the scene). Nothing is so bad. Still time will come when the muse (goddess sexy words) who decides to take a day off.

But this holiday will probably be written on a day dedicated in his diary, leather bound, the wife and family are on the beach, you have done your laptop in the attic, which was given the keys to the attic and have trusted neighbor inches closed and no longer have to exit this screen bright.

If you followed the rules of writing Laymon (list of eight available at HWA) and have paid strict attention to rule number 3, section titled: some tips … Number Article 5, which further suggests that Hemingway's advice: Stop at a point where you know yet what follows, then writing can easily start a day next. Then, it is likely that the article is for you.

But ….

It can happen anytime, anywhere – even while stay in the attic with huge spiders crawling slowly toward you, poison oozing from his teeth – that can happen. And you can seriously mess with your day.

Here are some solutions I've heard other writers, with some general comments for your safety:

1) Take a walk. | | Although it is good for health, to kill his time writing, and perhaps lose a little money on something you just have to have, walking past the shop of used products.

2) Are some otherwise. | | Why? Of course, busy on the roof or whatever, you, but little is done to get written. But what the hell the muse is on vacation, right? Incorrect.

3) Read a book. | | Now I'm about to read, but there is a time and place and what is not when is supposed to be the muse in the hope of sexually abusing several pages.

4) Working in a different writing project. | | Hello? I doubt the words will come, just because you start something new. (Now, before in everyone starts jumping on my back and my neck to provide hooks the spider – which is known to work for some people and not others, usually if, in my case, never worked).

5) quit. Take a day off. | | Well, cool. Remember that you are in a closed barn only a chair, a table and computer laptop (do not forget the spiders), what are you doing? It has a battle? The spiders are fast and can move and right angles, jump and they are ugly ….. some synthesizers.

That's all I can remember hearing. Of course, the number six. My favorite and never fails.

6) slug away at it. Simple right | |? Keep piracy in these keys, write everything that comes to mind forgetting history and whether this or that party because it is very likely not. An example: I recently wrote a story for an anthology, was missing something – I could not. The muse had decided it was Christmas time and a beautiful day, had strangled with a little sun and fun (probably with the man on the street muse!). He was left in a mysterious world, cold, blood and sex and had no idea full what to do.

If I took my own advice. Number six. I knocked away. You see, I write I like to take people away in a small world my decision and hope, love and goodness, before the madness begins.

For six hours, I called the muse away to return (with a nice tan and a new bag) and told me, "the cutoff of seven years. Put the third paragraph, after six, seven, nine and opened with eleven.

"OK," I said with joy.

"Now change this sentence …"

What I mean is this: If I had not shot down and the jury was cursed and all my computer to my cup of coffee, these words have not been here in the first place. If I had followed the advice of 1-5, the mood to write disappeared. The muse has returned and that would be sitting on the couch watching reruns of Adam's family thought: Damn, now was a good day to write, I kept it.

It is my view of the situation. Perhaps you disagree – Maybe not, but one thing is certain …
Write in an attic is not a good idea.
