try reading Sidney Sheldon's "tell me your dreams". it talks about multiple personality disorder (MPD). its a nice story (its about a woman having two alter -ego) and you'll find out more things about this disorder and an author's notes about these. Also, the author provides sites about MPD.
And accdg to the character(Dr. Royce Salem) in the book, anyone who have this kind of disorder are normal unless their "alter-ego" turns over. A person can have more than one 'alter-ego'. in most cases, people having a MPD were molested during their child days.They were'nt able to handle the situation, so they created another personality to block it and forget about it. Alter-egos were made to help the person.
To find out more, just read the novel. and i'll tell you, its worth your time.

well, i haven't technically beaten it yet, but the "end of the world" is supposed to be on day 7…so I'd say you're about 1/2 there. I've been looking on message boards and the general consensus is that the game should last about 30 hours (possibly with minimum grinding though)
