Do you need Internet to play Nintendo Wii?

Hello, I do not know much about gameing and I just bought my 9 year old, Nintendo Wii for Christmas. Instead, it seems at first, I was doing now. I see a lot of information on the Internet need to play Wii. My son, where he lives, have no access to Internet. Is it really worth having the Wii if not for Internet? Second Part of my question is, I have the internet, but my computer is up and down the game would how it works, if there is no internet on TV that the game is played? If someone could tell me 101 Nintendo Wii (It's a college course based in an accident) I would appreciate it more.

you will not need Internet to play. Neither of the launch games on the Wii is online capable. the only thing that the Internet connection is really good at the moment, system upgrades and buy old school games through the Wii Shop store. To my knowledge, the system updates are mostly to add some things to "channels" on the screen of the console and the menu options in the configuration of the system. Neither seemed too larger after being updated on my console. you do not have to worry about the computer and the system being in different areas of the house. Wii uses technology Bluetooth wireless connectivity for connecting cables are unnecessary. If you have a modem without wire or wireless router (usually have an antenna transmitted to them or say something along the lines of "wireless" or "wifi" on them) to run its source via the Internet, then you can connect with that. If you do not have Nintendo made a wifi "stick" (40 million new, used … $ 20 Be sure to buy the Nintendo … whatever the type of store said) that connects to the USB port of your computer and the Wii can connect to it.
