  1. backenfell beau says:

Wii as in 'we' is meant for everyone, young, old, etc…

Wii has the bigger market available to it. The PS3 and the Xbox 360 generally appeal to the young male demographic (not to say others don't have one, but that's the majority and the target audience) where as the Wii is appealing to families, children, seniors, and both males and females. Because of this the Wii has more opportunities to sell, and thus more of them end up being brought home.

Its all part of Nintendo's "Blue Ocean Strategy" – an attempt to create a market where there initially was none. Nintendo took the risk of redefining the modern control mechanism for video games to appeal to a wider demographic and now its paying off more than anyone initially expected.

After 2+ years of "Nintedomination", Matt over at IGN still said it best back in 2005: ''Nintendo's next generation console is poised to live up to its codename. Not because it can process a gatrillion polygons. Not because it can run every game at 120 frames per second. But because it dares to change the very definition of videogames with a unique new controller that dismisses many of the mechanical fundamentals that Nintendo itself invented.''

  3. prebe says:

SNES version actually has the better graphics…don’t let the high contrast fool you, it’s blockier and less detailed. SNES is smoother with more detail overall.

  4. ken says:

This game was made in 2003, and Sega was no longer a hardware developer then, and since Pico is more of a toy, Nintendo didn’t care about their franchise on a Sega console. Yet, it’s still weird seeing Pokemon 16-bit and on a Sega console.

  5. thuss says:

That’s all they’ve said so far, but I’d be willing to bet it’s going to be out for Black Friday- everyone wants their game out for the Christmas rush! :3
