Why parents do a great thing about the game Mortal Kombat when their games are 100 times worse?
I remember when Mortal Kombat came out NES / SNES / Sega people made a big deal of it because of the blood and the dead. I remember wanting this game when I was younger and my mother and my father told me knows. I think this game also was in the news because of its violent content. Today, are games like that grandtheft Auto 4 is much more violent in Mortal Kombat. Now they swear their games (uncut), and kill by stabbing her breasts against policemen collecting prostitutes, and go on a mission to kill people. Today there are more games violent, then they were back when I was a child.
When Mortal Kombat was released, was one of the "violent" games of its time. As such, most parents have not used this kind of games, and considered it might be a bad influence on children. Of course, Mortal Kombat has never been aimed at children (hence the "M" for further assessment). As to why we have more violent video games these days, probably due to the fact that people are generally more accustomed to violence.
