The wonder of spiders

I'm not particularly fond of spiders, in fact I can not stand. Only see that gives me chills. But I was struck by an essay he wrote John Piper about how the European Water Spider points to the glory of God.

This species of spider has a unique feature of life in the bottom of a lake, while breathing air. To offset these two conflicting needs of the spider has an ingenious method to trap air under the surface. As the spider floating on the lake, did a somersault creates a bubble which then crawled to the lake bottom. Each fall Spider traps bubbles of a band, this process continues over and over again till they have built a few yards peroxide below the surface. The spider then saw the ball in his life where he eats and lives and the second.

such a genius, creativity and, may wonder! All this design in the simplest of creatures. The prophet Isaiah, once understood the meaning of this wonderful truth, when the Lord said, "Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? Which shows the starry hosts one by one, and calls each by name. Because of its great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing "(Isaiah 40:26).

It was a beauty that has led to Clyde Kilby shared "Staying Alive" in the glory of God "in which he suggested that someone should enjoy is looking for a star or flower, often resort to good music and good literature, and assume the universe is guided by the absurd, but by God.

Surprisingly, Jesus clearly says that God wants us to see his hand, not only in nature, but in our daily lives. Compassion, says, "Fear not, little flock, because your Father's good to give you the kingdom "(Luke 12:32).

For many, the idea God wanted to show his love is hard to grasp. They are often eager images of the project or the land God indifferent parents. However, Jesus tells us is his "willingness to give" those who simply want to receive. What is the value of a promise, that is often lost in the affairs of everyday life. Maybe we need to be reminded of the love of God. Maybe we just have to walk and look Sky to highlight the beauty of a flower, or even … if only for short moments … consider the application of a spider.
