This is regarded as one of THE best home metal pads to date by several DDR players, and you can check the reviews and videos of AA's, AAA's, and a video in particular I like in which they get an SUV to run over the pad, then run it upstairs to hook it up, and get an AA on Holic. If that's not durability, I don't know what is. It will run you about $300. Trust me, it is WELL worth the money. It very barely moves on hard floor or short carpet; on long carpet, you just build a base mod and it's ready to go for years. I personally recommend this as it has provided me much better scores, looks awesome, and it sure does deliver in durability.
My only other suggestion, as 'money is not an issue,' is the MyMyBox BLUESHARK Arcade pad. This thing is the real deal; elevated platform, arcade sensitivity (not to say the Flux doesn't rival the arcade's), and the support bar. You can find it at one instance at It bumps up a hundred bucks to make it a $400 pad. From what I've heard, its also an excellent pad.
Quite simply, if you want a high quality pad, make the choice between a Cobalt Flux (arcade mod or not, your choice) or the Blueshark. Both look really great, and will probably be the best you're going to get.
One last thing: DO NOT BUY AN IGNITION AFTERBURNER! The cheaper price lures a lot of people in; but that cheaper price comes at a much worse price: the thing breaks in like a month.
