Where is Alicante Airport?

Alicante is for many the gateway to a Spanish holiday, some 80 percent of its flights are performed regularly by tourists and in developing plans to handle the volume of passengers. In 2007, Alicante Airport handled 9,120,631 passengers, 79,756 operations Flight and 4,533 tons of cargo. Almost three times the volume experienced in 1998.

As the road follows the beaches keep an eye out this first glimpse of the sea and enjoy the scenery that makes this part of Spain so unique, do not be fooled by the strange Cactus, youre not in the Arizona desert, which is actually Spain.

Travel to Murcia is only 80 kilometers and takes less than an hour. Murcia is a breakpoint or a fantastic day, its full of things to do and places to visit. Location Alicante on the south coast of Spain means enjoying all kinds of weather all year and good temperatures rarely dip below 20 degrees even in winter. During the summer months, high temperatures are constantly in the thirties! However, the location of Alicante on the coast often say that summer temperatures are hot and rock complemented by the cool breezes from the sea.

El Altet is the name of the old airport, which replaced the old track Alicantes area now known as Alicante International Airport is the main region, and a new terminal should be completed in 2009.

The airport terminal has two information desks, office located at the registration area and Aena another in the starting area, adequate parking for 2,000 cars from the airport can cope with the number of rental cars fit, Parking is located just front of the terminal across the road. Parking is next to a longer stay facility offering daily fee for parking your car. The airport has with currency exchange, post office, public telephones may be all the building and access to Internet is possible in some areas and WiFi access points there are also many restaurants, cafes and ice cream at the airport to keep you well fed and happy children.

Alicante Airport offers holiday makers easy access to be beautiful surrounding areas of the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, if a bit further than Murcia airport to La Manga Club, is certainly worth considering rent a car for your holiday. It will work most likely as a cheaper option than using taxis during your stay and provide a greater sense of freedom and flexibility.
