Why ask a bunch of programs to install the Google toolbar or Yahoo during installation?
Many of the programs when installed, have an additional option to install the Google toolbar or Yahoo. For example, DivX Player, CCleaner … and tons of other programs. Why? Why did the authors of the program decides to go out of their way to add that option?
I agree with you … Why the hell they are doing. I think if you want Adobe Reader, which is what I want … if I want the Google Toolbar stupid I'm going to download it. EDIT: it's interesting to get a thumbs down to agree with someone. Prove that he is still Putzer in Y! A.

“The gene, WWP2, leads to the breakdown of an inhibitor that normally keeps cells in check.
The researchers showed, in tissue cultures, that without the inhibitor, Smad7, cancer progressed very quickly and spread.
Blocking the gene prevented that spread.
Dr Andrew Chantry, who led the study, said: “I think we’re really onto something important if we can put a wall around a cancer and lock it in place.
“The discovery could lead to the development of a new generation of drugs within the decade that could be used to stop the aggressive spread of most forms of the disease.”
The team are now recruiting chemists to help them design a drug which could interrupt the gene’s activity.
Dr Kat Arney, science information manager at Cancer Research UK, said: “Over recent decades researchers all over the world have discovered genes that drive the growth and spread of cancer, and this research adds one more to this ever-growing list.”
India’s capital markets regulator on Thursday barred brokerage Reliance Securities, a unit of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Capital, from accepting new clients for 45 days, as part of its settlement in a case related to violation of regulations.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) mandated Reliance Securities to spend 10 million rupees ($220,000) on investor education and awareness and pay 2.5 million rupees as part of a settlement of the August 2010 inquiry.
