Install the light kit ceiling fan. The fan works, light kit does not work. What can happen?
I installed a ceiling fan and I am attaching the fire kit. After setting black to black and white to white, I tried to run the light pull chain. It does not work. The fan is always at work. Can someone step by step method suggested to solve the problem? Chicagirl, connected the blue wire to the black child. Yet the play of light does not work.
In some lighting effects simply connect the blue wire (light) to black (hot wire), you must connect a connection between two devices. In general, this is a small two pins on the child's mouth in the play of light and fan. Remove ligh kit and see if you can find a child who does not fit man to woman and man / woman. Sounds like a dumb thing, but it is a common mistake. UPDATE: never heard of this type. still living under the bridge without fire.
