I've done some research and if you want the best education for animation, then Animation Mentor is the best possible choice. I went to Animation Mentor almost right out of High School, and my classmates are at times very random I would say. Here's an example: One of my classmates has a bachelors in business management; I asked him why he switched, and he said that he felt like it was something he was meant to do. Another example: I was a peer buddy last semester ( peer buddies are like tutors or an extra pair of eyes) and one of my buddies had just finished work on Avatar.
I have met and become friends with animators and animation enthusiasts from all over the world through Animation Mentor, and have had some great mentors. Now I have to complain a bit, but not about AM; I've done some research and i think that most animation degree's suffer from "The Curse" I call it. The Curse is when a program offers animation as a major, but ends up being instructional in how to use a program and not how to make art. Animation mentor will teach you the art of animation, like the 9 basics, workflow and how to get into the character; Animation Mentor's mission is, in my opinion, to create animators that will let a character breathe, live and make a connection with the audience; Animation Mentor will not teach you to make a character move right, it'll teach you to make a right move for the character!
Well, that's enough of my rambling, I hope this helps you make up your mind.
I'm not sure about the Rescuers/Ratatouille/Roger Rabbit, but I do know that Little Mermaid has an inappropriate figure on the cover, and that in Lion King, when Simba falls on the ground and dust flies up, the dust spells SEX. Also, in Aladdin, when Aladdin is on Jasmine's balcony, deciding what to say to her, you hear Genie in the background mutter "Tell her to take off her clothes"
I think I read somewhere that the Disney ppl thought it would be funny to put these things in the movies and that Walt Disney was a little off himself. idk, it could just be the biggest urban legend in history.
