the directors don' t have as much power in tv shows as the Head producer does
the Head Producer makes the main decisions about storylines/direction/casting/ and the general content of the show
I had high hopes when Ellen wheeler took over as she has been an actress on soaps and knew the genre but to me she has made a mess of GL. I have only been watching lately because the return of Edmund ( and phillip to a lesser degree)- I quit watching the show more or less about a yr or so ago after being a fan for over 12 yrs.
When Edmund's time is out I think I will "turn off the Light " again.
While GL still has some very good actors the storylines and production values are still below par.
( well ok the handheld camera work is getting better but still it looks cheap)

If you want to edit your videos ,you can use a video editing software to help you, nowadays there are many video editing software on the market, so when you choose them, you should compare them carefully to ensure your videos effects. I have being used a software called AVS video editor, which is easy to use , easy to download and install. Most of all, its price is considerably reasonable.
