DVD tapes? Do you mean MiniDV tapes? If so you'll need a MiniDV camcorder to capture your footage. It doesn't have to be the same make or model though – any MiniDV camcorder will do. Are you sure you don't know someone who's got one – YouTube's made video very popular and the advent of mini-DVD and hard drive based camcorders has dropped the price. They're everywhere!
