What is depression?

Depression is a disease in which a person feels very sad and worried. The person feels that his situation is a hope.

One of its symptoms is when that person has trouble sleeping.

Depression can strike young and older people, including people of all social levels.

Some causes of depression

A woman being depressed soon after giving birth to a baby.

The death of a spouse or child can cause great sadness of a woman.

The loss of employment or the test may not depressed.

Ministers of God also may meet this requirement. Examples

a. Prophet Elijah was so depressed that he told God in 1 Kings 19:4, "Have enough, Lord. Take my life, I am not better than my parents. "

b. When Jacob lost his son Joseph, who was depressed and refused to any person to console him. He said in Genesis 37:35, "…. In the duel will go to the grave of my son. "

C. The burden of leading the people of Israel was too God told Moses to put to death immediately. (Numbers 11:15)

3 things you should do as a Christian when the attacks of depression,

Do not handle depression lightly. It is dangerous and can attack any of us.

Here are some things you should do when depression hits:

1. Remember that God and think about who he is.

The first thing to do when you are depressed, you remember God.

Call immediately to his word, study, and I believe deeply in his divine nature.

Turn in your mind what the Bible says about him.

Remember that a God is omniscient and fully understands what is happening to you.

Remember also that it is watching closely and looking for you.

Psalm 147:5 says our God is great and mighty in power and his understanding is infinite.

God can use work face on depression good for you.

By why the Bible says in Romans 8:28 that all things God works for the good of those who love and are called according to His purpose.

Remember what Jeremiah said Jeremiah 32:17 about God.

He said: "Oh, Master, thou hast made heaven and earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you "

God has the power you away from where she fell into depression.

David says in Psalm 40:1, 2:

"Patiently I waited for the Lord, he turned to me and heard my cry.

2. Consider what God has done

3. Trust in God

God loves you with an everlasting love and said that kindly. (Isaiah 31:3).

He will never abandon you. Continue to trust him.

He said these words to you to help confidence and cling to him tightly. He said

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when they pass through the rivers, not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, do not burn, the flames will do you on fire. "(Isaiah 43:2)
