Tip, tricks and techniques
Want to grow large crystals? General instructions for growing crystals most that can be used for most of the recipes of glass. You can find recipes and information on the crystal structures of the crystal growth section. Here are the basics to get you started and help you solve problems:
What are the crystals?
The crystals are structures formed from a regular pattern of atoms or molecules bound repeated. Crystals grow by a process called nucleation. During nucleation, the atoms or molecules that crystallize (solute) are dissolved in its individual units in a solvent. Solute particles contact each other and are interconnected. This subunit is larger than a particle, the particles will be more contact and communication it.
Finally, the crystal nucleus becomes large enough that is outside the solution (crystallizes). Other solute molecules continue to attach to the glass surface, leading to grow until a balance or equilibrium is reached between the solute molecules in the crystal and those who remain in the solution.
The basic technique
1.Make solution saturated.
2.Start a garden or grow a seed crystal.
3.Continue growth.
To develop You should drink a glass a solution that maximizes the potential for solute particles to come together and form a nucleus, what happens in your glass. This means you For a concentrated solution with the greatest amount of solute that can dissolve (saturated solution). Sometimes, the nucleation can occur simply through interactions between the solute particles in solution (called unassisted nucleation), but sometimes it is better to give a sort of meeting place for the solute particles to add (Assisted nucleation). A rough surface tends to be more attractive to the nucleation of a smooth surface. For example, a crystal is more likely to start to form a piece of thick rope in the smooth side of a glass.
Prepare a saturated solution
It is best to start your crystals with a saturated solution. A more dilute solution will be saturated as the air evaporates some liquid, but evaporation takes time (days, weeks). You will receive your crystals rapidly if the solution is saturated initially. In addition, there may come a time when it is necessary to add more liquid to the crystal solution. If the solution is far from saturated, then cancel your work and actually dissolve the crystals! Prepare a saturated solution by adding a glass of solute (eg, alum, sugar, salt) for solvent (usually water, although some recipes might require other solvents). Agitation of the mixture is dissolved solute. Sometimes, you can apply heat to help dissolve the solute. Use boiling water or even heat the solution on the stove in a burner or in a microwave.

If you want to grow a mass of crystals or a crystal garden, you can pour the saturated solution onto a substrate (rocks, bricks, sponge), cover the floor with a paper towel or coffee filter to protect from dust, and allow the liquid to evaporate slowly.
Growth a seed crystal
Another addition, if you try to push a large single crystal, you must obtain a seed crystal. A method to obtain a seed crystal is to pour a small amount its saturated solution in a dish, drop to evaporate and scrape the crystals formed at the bottom to use as seeds. Another method is to make a solution saturated in a very smooth container (like a glass bottle) and moving a hard object (like a piece of string) in the liquid. Small crystals will start growing in the chain that can be used as seed crystals.
Growth and cleaning glass
If your seed crystal is a string, pour the liquid into a container clean (other crystals on the glass will eventually grow and compete with the glass) to suspend the string in the liquid, cover with a paper towel or filter coffee (not sealed with a lid!), and continue to grow the crystal. Pour the liquid into a clean container every time you see the growth of crystals in the package.
If choose a seed of a board, attach a nylon fishing line (too soft to be attractive to the crystals, so your seed can grow without competition) to suspend the glass in a clean container with a saturated solution, and grow your crystal in the same way with seeds that were originally on a string.
Keep treasures
The crystals have a water (aqueous) solution is slightly soluble in moist air. Keep fine crystal, storing them in one place Dry, tightly closed container. You can wrap in paper to keep it dry and prevent dust from accumulating on it. Some crystals can be protected by applying acrylic coatings (such as Future floor polish), although the application of resin dissolves the outer layer of glass.

Example: “I am good-looking and, more importantly, single.” In that case “more importantly” is modifying an adjective, so the adverbial form is appropriate. I can’t think of a case where starting a sentence with “importantly” is correct.
