I agree with the above answer. You definitely want to look into getting a marine and marine only charger. They will always shut off when they are done charging. From my experiences I would stay away from the cheaper end chargers out there. I've had 2 60 dollar Die Hard chargers from Sears and they both gave me problems within 1 year of using them. These chargers are supposed to cut off after the battery gets a full charge but both of these failed to do that after a while of using them. I now have a Minn kota charger which I found at Bass Pro for 150 bucks and am very happy with it.
