In order to have positive results you need to have realistic expectations. Consider the fact that each year someone is the world champion. At 15 years old, and after playing for just a few weeks, it's much too early to predict what your future holds. I've been playing competitive pool for over 40 years and I still have a lot to learn. If I where in your position I wouldn't limit myself to only playing 9-ball. 9-ball is much more of an offensive game than, say, one-pocket. Playing only 9-ball isn't going to help you develop all the tools necessary to become successful. You need to use other forms of billiards, along with several drills, to be successful. People make the mistake in thinking that to become better you need to watch professionals, or play people at a higher skill level than yourself. The way to improve is to learn from better players, work on things you've learned, and play and practice as much as you can. Pool is not just a game of physical ability, it's also a game of psychology. The most common thing that separates the #1 player in the world from the #10 player isn't talent as much as it's their mindset. Every professional player in the world goes through periods where their game is off. They have to overcome this aspect mentally, not physically. Success is the only thing that's going to turn your dream into a reality. Learning to attribute your success to the factor of intimidation, as well as skill level, will help you overcome your own periods of failure. Remember, anyone can beat anyone else in the game of 9-ball. You need to learn how to detach yourself from your opponent and consider the game, the layout, and the table as your obstacle, and as your challenge.
