Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe has been in African literature that Washington Irving The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was in American literature. His novel reading reported the introduction Africa in the world of English literature. The importance of the seminal work of Chinua Achebe is that African literature remains more an attempt to export and to have strong history of Africa with a brush intact. Things Fall Apart is an example of good writing, good story shows the advantages and disadvantages of pre-colonial Africa. Therefore, Achebe is a pioneer and an icon of African literature.
