My Secret World is the latest in a long line of Imagine games released on Nintendo DS. The series seems to be more spin-off to start with more titles than you can, well …. imagine.

In 2007, four Imagine games have been released. He was happy cooking, Designer Fashion, Pet Vet and babies. Four sets of a series is pretty rare in video games, but developers of the series Imagine, Ubisoft, become heated.

In 2008 he published an incredible 11 new games for the series. These values have been Imagine Figure Skater, Girl Band, Teacher, My Secret World, Babysitter, Baby Club, Model, modern dancer, fashion designer from New York, the champion jockey and a veterinary hospital.

Wait, that's not all. Before the end of 2008 they plant to release seven more. The next 7 tracks imagine, Babyz Party, Wedding Designer Interior Designer, gymnasts, the first film, ballet star and fashion of the parties.

18 games in a series in one year is unprecedented. Nintendo itself seems to release every second title as a Mario game, not yet has approached this. Why are so many games being released Imagine a short space of time?

Ubisoft is directed toward women of video games that have been until recently relatively low cover. This has not only been a matter of game developers are sexist. Many game developers have tried to game goals women, but sales have simply not a profitable business.

The Nintendo DS has achieved for the first time to attract a more even distribution of males and women. This was done by producing games like Nintendogs, which focuses on an issue that is perceived as less masculine orientation. Since the Nintendo DS has succeeded where others are not, Ubisoft has set a goal to capitalize on the high proportion of female DS owners.

Given that video games are focus on the adventures and battles, women casual gamers tend to be more attracted to situations that are more realistic. For example, Imagine: Master Player takes the role of a teacher, rather than the head of an army or tombs raids. Imagine Others in the series are not really what could be considered a match. My Secret World is more of an interactive magazine with a game personality tests

One wonders how high the quality of these games are, as both are produced in such short time. The games are certainly not give the appearance of a Job precipitated with attractive and unique interfaces in each. The gameplay feels shallow, repetitive, however.

You could say that the Imagine series is more dependent on its effects, nice graphics, packaging and advertising campaign for your game. It seems the show is a success that has yet no critical acclaim. Video game review site IGN state that Imagine: Teacher is the best of the series and still rates of only 7.5 out of 10, while others score lower, even with Imagine: Rockstar wins only 3.2 10.
